Honeywagon
After « A Different Shade Of Green » last year and « A Tribute To Green Day » earlier this year, here's a another tribute album. Released on August 24th 2004 on CMH Records, this CD is called GREEN DAY BLUE GRASS: Pickin' On Green Day CD. It's very different from those other tribute albums. First all songs are performed by a single band, Honeywagon, and second the genre is not punk or rock. No electric guitar, no electric bass, not even drums, but acoustic guitar, banjo, mandolin, upright bass. Green Day songs are turned into country-style! Sounds strange at first, but sometimes it's nice to hear « calm » versions of Green Day songs. To get an idea, you can download here a preview:
